These are my 10 Favorite National Park hikes so far (in no particular order). As of today, we’ve been to 25 of the 63 parks, so this will definitely change in the future, but it’ll be fun to see how it evolves over time!

The Welch-Dickey Loop is arguably one of the most popular hikes in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. I had heard a lot about this hike but hadn’t done it until this past summer. If you like STEEP rocky slabs with beautiful views, then this is a great trail for you!

If you’re looking for a casual hike on a pretty trail, check out Mt. Rowe, part of the Belknap Range near Gilford, New Hampshire. It’s roughly four miles but the elevation gain isn’t much, so it would be a great beginner hike

Mt. Chocorua is a beautiful spot in New Hampshire’s White Mountain National Forest. There are a couple trail options for this hike but this post covers the hike starting at Champney Brook Trail. It’s an out and back route that’s roughly seven miles

The Mt. Morgan and Mt. Percival loop is a fun trail near Holderness, New Hampshire. It’s rated hard on AllTrails and is about five miles long. I would consider this more moderate but if you are unfamiliar with rock scrambling, or have a fear of heights or tight spaces, then you may feel differently.

Eagle Rock is a stunning spot near Greenville, Maine. First, it’s important to note there are two trails to the top of the rock. Mount Monadnock (not to be confused with its neighbor Pack Monadnock) is a popular peak in Monadnock State Park in Jaffrey, New Hampshire. It’s actually one of the most popular hikes in the world!

This is an easy trail in Franconia Notch State Park in New Hampshire and can be found on AllTrails. This is a very popular destination as it’s doable for people of all ages. You do have to buy tickets for entry which can get pricey

This is a fun loop in Hart’s Location, New Hampshire, located in Crawford Notch State Park. It’s about 5 miles long and about 1,600 feet in elevation. I’ve hiked this twice now, once in the summer and once in the fall. I enjoyed the hike both times I visited.

This is a moderately hard trail in central Maine and can be found on AllTrails. This is a classic New England hike but it’s easily one of the most beautiful I’ve done. The 360º views from the top are incredible.
