Mt. Eisenhower is one of New Hampshire’s infamous 48 4,000 footers. It’s part of the Presidential range and sits close to Mt. Washington. This is a fairly challenging hike that’s just shy of 7 miles long with an elevation gain of almost 2,800 feet. We used Edmands Path for our hike. It can be found on AllTrails.

The parking lot isn’t large, but you are able to park on the side of the road if there aren’t spaces left. Be aware, this is a seasonal road so make sure to check the status of the gate prior to going (check out http://www.TrailsNH.com or the White Mountain guidebook). When we did the hike in September 2023 there was no fee.

The trail was nice and if I remember correctly, there was only one area that really had a scramble. Other than that, it was typical White Mountain terrain – lots of roots, rocks and mud! Once you reach the summit, you’ll get stunning views of the surrounding Presidentials and other mountains. If you want to extend your adventure, you can follow Crawford Path to bag a few more peaks!
